Both matches were won by the USAF, Cam and Mark, 544 and 533. M1 top individual scorer was Mark, 277, and the M2 top scorers were Matt and Cam, 276.
High prone scores were Jober and William, 99, John and Jober had 98's. High standing was Mark with a 92, next was Cam with an 89. The kneeling high score was Matt with a 98, next ones were 92's-Matt again, Cam, Jober and Cam again.
We appreciate Jober shooting along with Ellie, so we had a good number of teams.
John may be shooting elsewhere for the Nov. 7-8 match, so we may have to "dig up" another senior from somewhere. Hope everyone else can make it. Any ideas for another senior, even someone who shoots high power? Hate to lose those senior records when they are there for the taking.(Nov. 7-8, 4-P, one target each day for each position, big A-23 50 yard targets.)
In the meantime, while the real men were shooting 3-Position, others were shooting a Mini-Palma Club match using F-Class rests. This match uses properly reduced International Palma 1000, 900 and 800 yard centerfire targets to be shot at 100 yards with .22 competition rifles. Out of 450 points Bobby DePasque shot 450, Phil Massoris 448, and Richard Blankenship and Sgt. Ray Del Rio shot 446. All really good scores!
The next NRA junior(open to anyone) match will be November 7-8 and will be for 4-Position(prone, standing, kneeling and sitting) competition on A-23 targets. Come out and join the fun!
