LAR&R Club
Established in 1906, LAR&R Club is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) with the mission of promoting the competitive rifle shooting sport, develop young athletes preparing for collegiate NCAA marksmanship as well as representing the United States on the world stage and at the Olympic Games. LAR&R Club is newly certified by USA Shooting as its Certifiedl Training Center. Monthly USA Shooting preliminary try out (PTO) matches and other NRA Regional and State Championships are held on this range regularly. Year round outdoor shooting is a blessing at this range.

Training Opportunities
Mr. David Kimes is the head coach of LAR&R CTC. His back-to-back World Champion and 1980 US Olympic Team experience brings world class coaching to the Center. He is teamed with Mr. Edward Knutson, an expert and a great mentor to many successful young shooters, along with other dedicated coaches. Coach Kimes and his coaching team will offer rifle clinics, and junior camps ranging from intermediate to advanced levels.
Conducting coach schools, training for competition officials and recruiting match operation volunteers of the future generation is also high on the coach’s priority list.
Additional training opportunities are offered throug
h the numerous competitions held at this CTC.

2011 USA Shooting Rifle & Pistol National Championships is next week July 1-8, 2011

LAR&R CTC athletes competing at this years National Championships are Kevin Sui and Matt Chezem. Both of them will be competing in all of the rifle events. They have been working hard to improve their chances, we wish them the best and ask you to pull for them too.

Advanced 3-Position Rifle Clinic conducted by the US Army Marksmanship Unit is planned for December 10-12, 2010.

Dear Prospective Clinic Applicant:                                                                                                      November 9, 2010

We invite you to attend the first UNITED STATES ARMY Marksmanship Unit 3-Position Rifle Clinic hosted by the LAR&R USA Shooting Regional Training Center (RTC).

This Clinic features theoretical and practical tips in competitive shooting. Class room and live firing combine for an almost immediate application of new knowledge - both challenging and fun.

Instructors:
Sgt. First Class Michael Moore, Army Marksmanship Unit: Sgt Moore is the instructor/coach for the international rifle team of the Army Marksmanship Unit.
1st. Lieutenant Chris Abalo, Army Marksmanship Unit: Lieutenant Abalo is an instructor and member of the international rifle team of the Army Marksmanship Unit.
DAVID KIMES (instructor) – USA Shooting/NRA Level-III coach; Head Coach, LAR&R - USA Shooting Regional Training Center.
Rifle coaches – you are welcome to attend at a discount - for both the contribution of your knowledge and to share class content with the athletes you coach.

Application and waiver forms: Please take a moment to complete the application and waiver forms. Parents must sign the waiver form if applicant is a minor. Forms can be obtained on-line from www.LARRClub.org and our junior program website – www.JuniorShooters.com – see the clinic information frame, or you may request them from our local contact (below).
As a 3-P position shooter, you will need to bring your own equipment (as if for a match, including mats) and standard velocity ammunition (500 rounds) to the clinic. Space is limited to 18 shooters. We can also accommodate six coaches and/or non-shooters in addition. (Please note that even if you only shoot prone, this clinic will be of great value)

Fees:           The 2010 UNITED STATES ARMY Marksmanship Unit 3-P Rifle Clinic fee is $60 for adult shooters, $50 for junior shooters – 20 and under, and $25 for rifle coaches or non-shooters. The fee includes all class materials, Friday Snacks and 2 lunches, bottled water and soft drinks. If the clinic is cancelled your fee will be refunded. A participant may cancel up to 72 hours before the start of the clinic and the fee will be refunded. Make your check payable to David Kimes.

Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel the clinic if less than 10 applications. Clinic date may change or be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. If the clinic is canceled your fee will be refunded. A participant may cancel up to 72 hours before the start of the clinic and have the fee refunded. So please do not wait, send your application today.

Deadline for applications and fees is DECEMBER 1, 2010.

LAR&R Regional Training Center is prepared to host the 2010 U.S. World Championship Rifle Team for training in July.

2010 Boy Scouts Rifle Training 5/22/2010

300 troops are to receive rifle training, some for the first time. Many have volunteered to help making this event a great experience for the kids. Contact Bob McMullin.

NRA 3-P Metric SB Rifle Regional/USA Shooting PTO Coming up

This match is at the LAR&R RTC on 5/29-30/10. Please make an effort to attend. The American Trigger Sport Network www.atsn.tv will be filming this event.

2010 CRPA Metric 3-Position SB Rifle State Championship/USA Shooting PTO

South concluded the competition on 5/1-2/10. North is going to hold the same event on 5/22-23/10. Combined result will be posted following the conclusion of the North match.
